Scale aventail / collar

The Scale Aventail / Collar is designed to provide reliable protection for the neck, throat, and shoulders while maintaining excellent comfort and freedom of movement. It is an ideal addition to helmets used in full-contact medieval combat.

The collar features 1 mm tempered steel scales sewn onto a padded base, creating a flexible yet highly protective construction. It fastens at the front for easy fitting and secure adjustment.

The padded collar is made from linen and cotton with a felt lining, providing excellent comfort while helping to absorb impacts. Its high collar offers additional protection for the back and sides of the neck, covering some of the most vulnerable areas during combat.

The standard version is supplied with four rows of 1 mm tempered steel scales, with additional rows available upon request.
