Gambeson Type 3

Gambeson Type 3 is designed to provide an excellent balance between protection, comfort, and mobility, making it suitable for both full-contact medieval combat and historical reenactment. Its ergonomic construction allows for unrestricted movement while offering effective impact absorption beneath armour.

Made from cotton, this gambeson features medium thickness, with two layers of wadding on the body for enhanced torso protection and one layer on the sleeves to maintain flexibility. The elbows and shoulders are additionally reinforced, improving durability in the areas exposed to the greatest stress.

The gambeson is ideal as a standalone protective garment or as padding worn beneath plate or mail armour.
